Using RiskView, you can build bowtie risk models, as shown in the following figure, with a "fault tree" (defining the causes of a catastrophic or otherwise undesirable event, and their possible controls) on the left side, and an "event tree" (defining the undesirable outcomes of the event, and their possible mitigating controls) on the right side. The risk node in the center defines the undesirable event itself, and provides additional information about the risk's current status and the potential magnitude of the outcome should the risk event occur.
